Help Make the 2018 Electronics Reuse Conference a Waste-Free Event!

E-Reuse Services is working with NSF International to cut waste at this year’s Electronics Reuse Conference, hosted at the Hilton Nashville Downtown, October 28-31, 2018.

In its 15th year, the Electronics Reuse Conference provides the opportunity for people around the world working in the areas of electronics refurbishment and repair, assets management, electronics recycling, and digital inclusion to come together to network, build business relationships, discuss best practices, and learn new techniques for refurbishing and recycling electronics efficiently and cost effectively.

“ERC, and the electronics reuse industry, is committed to serving the environment through reuse and repair advocacy. I’m ecstatic about the opportunity to enhance that commitment by working with NSF make ERC 2018 Waste-Free, and I hope this helps to create a trend that extends to other events in our industry going forward.”

What Is Our Goal?

Our goal is to avoid sending any amount of waste to landfill during this years’ Electronics Reuse Conference. We plan on working towards this goal by reducing the amount of waste generated by the show itself, replacing single-use items with reusable alternatives where possible,  and identifying responsible means of disposal including recycling or composting, for all waste. What Can You Do to Help?

We will need your help as we work towards our aggressive targets! Please be aware that we need to limit the amount of waste generated:

  • Avoid bringing anything into the show that may need disposed of, like candy wrappers, Styrofoam packaging, plastic wrap, etc.

  • Please reuse any packaging that you may need for shipping items.

  • Keep an eye out for the appropriate disposal bins (recycling or compost) to place your waste.

At the show, you can look for Jamie Bush from NSF International if you have any questions about this waste-reduction initiative. We are excited about this opportunity to reduce environmental impacts during this years’ ERC!
